Top 8 Blog Posts of the Week (May 9th - May 15th)

Top 8 blog posts of the week

Another week has passed us, and here are your top posts of the week.  Even though we do our best to avoid Mashable and TechCrunch, we can’t seem to get away from all of the blog posts about blogging and tweeting.  Jeez guys!  Cmon!…

Ok ok, Joe and I have decided it is up to us to filter the content and find the true gems out there.  So, Joe and I promise that this will be the last weekly roundup that includes any posts about blogging or twitter.  Yes, it’s going to be a wild goose chase from now on, but we’re going to do it!

My favs from this week are #3 and #8!

1. 19 Reasons You Should Blog And Not Just Tweet

The Future Buzz image

Another blog post about bloggging

What is our constant obsession with having to constantly validate our addiction to blogging and Twitter?  Every week, the most popular blogs are about why we should be blogging or Tweeting.  And you know who is reading these posts?  Other bloggers!  Kinda pointless if you ask me…

Either way, there’s a reason this post was retweeted over 700 times.  Must have some quality content.

2. Did Twitter Just Kill #followfriday?

Stay n alive image

Am I the only one who didn’t follow @s to people I don’t know?

It seems that many people are angry that Twitter removed the @ feature that allows you to view @s to people you’re not following.  I didn’t even know people actually used this feature.  Doesn’t your Twitter stream just get clogged up and unreadable?

3. Of ATMs, iPhones… and 9/11?

I am Shane image

This post is classic

I love it when cops power trip.  To be honest, I can see it from both sites.  On one hand, we have a guy who does what he wants, is strong willed, and doesn’t like to get pushed around.  He takes a pic of an open ATM and refuses to give us his ID when the two cops start questioning him about the photo.  On the other hand we have two cops that want respect for having a crappy job.  Hey, if you had a badge and a gun, I think you would exert your power too.

If he had just gave them his ID, he would have saved himself a bunch of trouble.  But instead, his pride got the better of him and he got cuffed.  So who’s right and who’s wrong here?

That’s for you to decide.  All I can say is that Shane Becker is the ish.

Haha, on 25 things she hates about Twitter, number 1 and 2 isn’t very justified because some just use Twitter as a private SMS service. But her number 3 is super funny! :D

I love #8 on the list. Such a clever idea! I always get excited when a big Twitter user (celeb, company, etc) Tweets back.
