Sydney was influenced by Penelope Trunk who referred her to Brazen Careerist.  She’s been blogging for her career ever since.

1:31 - Have you always been this motivated?

Sydney has always been motivated ever since she was a little kid.  Now that she knows what she wants to do with her career, she’s extra focused on utilizing social media to get her to where she wants to be.

4:37 - What are some misconceptions you had about blogging before you got started?

Sydney has focused on New Media topics exclusively since she’s started blogging.  She is now trying to incorporate more of her personal life into each blog post.

5:44 - Where do you draw the line in terms of how personal you’re going to get?

Sydney has blogged about her relationships before.  As long as there is a lesson to be learned in the post, Sydney is open to writing about anything.

7:00 - If you never had to work another day in your life for money, what would you be doing?

Sydney would still be doing PR.  She wants to ultimately start her own agency.

Bartending has actually taught Sydney many valuable skills that will help her in the corporate world.

Social media has gotten her a job, amazing friends, and exponentially expanded her network.
