It seems that everyone and their mother is now using Twitter. Whether it’s professional athletes that are tweeting during games or high powered executives using Twitter to build their personal brand, Twitter has become a powerhouse in the social networking market. Companies realize this and have capitalized on it by coming out with applications that make tweeting from Twitter.com itself outdated. With mobile apps and new ways to stay updated with what your friends are saying on Twitter, we decided to come up with a list of the Top 7 Most Visited Twitter Application Sites. The numbers we used were based on numbers provided by Compete.com.

Taking into account the amazing increase in unique visitors to Twitter.com, we decided that it would best to look at the traffic to Twitter application sites from the point when traffic really started to take off for Twitter which started just this year in January. In just the past 3 months, Twitter has seen a jump in it’s unique visitors from about 5 million unique’s to almost 20 million. While this list does not reflect the most used Twitter application, we feel that this gives you an idea of what sites have the most buzz.
