Top 10 News Feeds On Twitter

With more and more people getting their news online, Twitter users are starting use news feeds via Twitter to stay up to date. The biggest advantage to following a news feed on Twitter is that you can get news faster than some websites can update them. With the demand for information to be instant, knowing which news feeds to follow makes it easy to stay current. To help you figure out what news feeds you should be following we have compiled the Top 10 News Feeds On Twitter.

The top 10 list was determined based on a Twitter account being primarily a news feed filter. We also factored in the number of followers, how often it was updated as well as the number of retweets an account had. We included the number of updates because although an account may have a large number of followers, the number of updates is just as important. This shows that they are active and are constantly giving updates to their followers. All statistics are current as of May 27, 2009.

Change your Tweetmeme plugin settings so that it retweets @yourblog, rather than @tweetmeme. You’re missing a ton of potential Twitter followers right now because of this.
